Infrastructure Development
Infrastructure Development; (addressing policy 2.2)
Appropriate infrastructure is critical for a conducive learning environment. Current accommodation facilities are not appropriate for current enrolments and are certainly inadequate for the increasing enrolments at institutions. Accommodation is required for student accommodation, staff accommodation and for learning facilities.
Activities:
- Undertake strategic alliances through PPPs to increase students and staff accommodation;
- Rehabilitate water and sewer reticulation systems in all affected institutions within 200 days;
- Implement Smart Energy solutions at Higher and Tertiary Institutions.
Progress to date

-
Free Wi-Fi zones established at 10 State Universities;
-
Negotiations with local and international investors to improve infrastructure at HTI ongoing.
